Every UTD Camp is designed to be a hands-on, training and development camp. Our philosophy and training model are designed to improve umpiring skills in all facets of the game. We provide each student with a thorough classroom session which will include discussions on multiple topics to include “What the Supervisors are looking for”, handling situations, a review of NCAA Rules and the application of the CCA Mechanics. Throughout the camp each student will learn the proper Strike Zone, effective communication skills or techniques, and a breakdown of working both the bases and the plate. Students will be assigned to actual live games with evaluations of their on-field performance.
